The Open Water Sea Championship is entering its second edition this year. The first edition of the Open Water Swimming Championship was held in 2023 in Putra Jaya, Malaysia.
In 2024, the competition, now named the 2nd SEA Open Water Swimming Championship, will be held in Jimbaran, Bali. Akuatik Indonesia has been chosen to organize this prestigious swimming championship, following their successful hosting of the 45th SEA Age Group Championship in Jakarta last year.
This event will also serve as a stage for local swimmers to showcase their best abilities. In addition to the Open Water Swimming Championship, the OWS Indonesia Festival will also be held, providing an opportunity for local swimmers and swimming communities to participate.
In the long run, this event offers young athletes a chance to experience a competitive atmosphere and to serve as a benchmark for Southeast Asia.
2. Dozens of International Swimmers Competing in Several Categories
As a world-class competition, the 2nd SEA Open Water Swimming Championship is certainly a prestigious event for young athletes. This competition will feature the best swimmers from 11 Southeast Asian countries.
There are four race categories in this competition: 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, and a 4 x 15 km relay. In addition to the swimming distances, participants will be grouped by age, with categories ranging from 14-15 years, 16-17 years, 18-19 years, and over 20 years.
Each category will be joined by around 50 to 100 swimmers from Indonesia and ASEAN countries. With dozens of participants involved, the 2nd SEA Open Water Swimming Championship promises to be a highly competitive event for young swimmers.
3. OWS Indonesia Festival 2024

Participants in the OWS Indonesia Festival 2024 can join in various age groups, including 14-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, and over 70 years.

The registration fees are as follows Rp800,000 for Early Bird (before April 26, 2024) Rp1,000,000 (April 27–June 15, 2024) Rp600,000 for students
