Syekh Ali Rahman, known by the moniker Bapu Mato Mela, was an Islamic scholar (ulama) who played a vital role in the spread of Islam throughout Gorontalo. His tomb, located in Bulotadaa Barat Sub-district, is recognized as one of 22 sacred tombs managed by the Gorontalo City Government and promoted as part of its local religious tourism initiative.
