History of Museum Kota Juang Bireuen

The museum was officially inaugurated on March 30, 2021, by the Regent of Bireuen, alongside the launch of two historical books documenting key figures and narratives of Bireuen. The museum was initiated in honor of H. Abubakar bin Ibrahim bin Salim Bey, a Turkish-born figure who dedicated his life to the development of Bireuen society.

Located at Jalan H. Oeb Mubin No. 31, Gampong Baro, Bireuen Regency, the museum complex occupies a 600 m² site that also serves as the burial ground of H. Abubakar bin Ibrahim bin Salim Bey and his family. The complex features a traditional Acehnese house and a replica of the Meuligoe Bireuen Palace, symbolizing historical continuity.
