Masjid Jami' Air Tiris (Masjid Jami Tanpa Paku)

Masjid Jami' Air Tiris is a significant historical mosque located in Kampar Regency, Riau, Indonesia. Built around 1901 by the cleric Engku Muda Sangkal and the local community through gotong royong (mutual cooperation), it is one of the oldest mosques in Riau and a cultural heritage site. The mosque is famous for its unique traditional Malay architecture, featuring a tiered, pyramidal roof and a construction method that originally used interlocking wood joints instead of iron nails, supported by 40 wooden pillars. Situated near the Kampar River, it has historically served as a central hub for Islamic propagation and a symbol of community unity in the region
