The courthouse was officially established through a Decree of the Head of the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office in 2022. Reflecting the spirit of law enforcement based on justice, morality, and responsibility, its architectural design combines Bugis, Makassar, Toraja, and Mandar elements. Its main structure resembles a Pinisi ship. Its dome is inspired by the Songkok Recca (Bone) and Patonro (Makassar), its carved reliefs are typical of Toraja, and the Syahadatain Tower features Mandar ornamentation.
