The managerial team is responsible for maintaining the museum, organizing cultural programming, and engaging the public in appreciation of Dayak heritage.

History of the Museum

The idea for Lamin Dayak Batu Cermin emerged from discussions among the board of the Lamin Dayak Batu Cermin Foundation and museum leadership. The museum began operational use on 10 September 2021, and was officially established under its current name on 7 June 2022 as documented in the foundation’s deed of establishment.

The term lamin refers to the traditional Dayak longhouse, renowned for its unique architectural style that reflects communal living and social structure of the Dayak people. By preserving this form, the museum offers insight into indigenous architectural heritage and community life.
