One of the oldest mosques in Java, established by Sunan Ampel (one of the Walisongo) in the 15th century, located in Surabaya's historical Arab Quarter. It is an active mosque, a major site for ziarah wali (pilgrimage to the saints), and the commercial and cultural heart of the district.
