Mesjid Jami Ambon

The Jami Mosque in Ambon City, built in 1860, is one of the oldest mosques in the city and stands as a testament to the development of Islamic civilization in Ambon. The mosque was originally a simple structure made of wood with a thatched roof, but it underwent several renovations due to damage and natural disasters until it was rebuilt to be more sturdy. To this day, the mosque continues to serve as a place of worship as well as an important historical landmark that reflects the long journey of the Muslim community in Ambon.
