Masjid Kasunyatan

The Kasunyatan Mosque is a highly significant historical mosque located in Banten, established between 1570 and 1596 by Kyai Dukuh, and served as a crucial center for Islamic education and preaching during the Banten Sultanate era. Its architecture is distinctively rich in philosophical value, showcasing a harmonious blend of traditional Javanese-Islamic styles—characterized by a tiered roof supported by four central saka guru pillars—with clear foreign influences, such as its eleven-meter minaret which exhibits a design reminiscent of Portuguese architecture.
