A part of the Riau Islands province of Indonesia, Bintan is located at the northern tip of the island. Only 45 minutes away from Singapore by ferry, Bintan is filled with all manners of resorts. Separated from the resorts, are the border towns filled with fishing villages and local style resorts filled with beaches. The colorful town of Tanjung Pinang is no reputed to be one of Indonesia’s most historic city, with its ancient vibrant market partly located on stilts just on the waters.

Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) is a ferry terminal on the western tip of Bintan Resorts, Bintan Island, in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. Several daily fast ferries connect Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore in only 45 minutes.

While ferry passengers embark and disembark at port Bandar Bintan Belani, yachts can proceeds to BBT-Bintan Resorts. Previously, yachts planning to sail to Bintan, the Riau Islands had to call at Nongsa Point, Batam for clearance of necessary permits.

Effective 2012, under the Regulation of President No.79/2011 all local and international yachts are allowed to sail directly to Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) - Bintan Resorts and have their immigration and custom processing done at BBT.

The island has beaches with beach-front hotels and resorts. Arriving at Bandar Bentan Telani, visitors will be immediately greeted by resorts that are commonly misunderstood as a part of Singapore due to its higher standards in infrastructures, utilities, and security. Currently there are seven independently owned and operated beach resorts, four designer golf courses, as well as a range of recreational facilities and attractions located within.
