Bedog Arts Fest

Bedog Arts Fest (BAF) is an iconic performing arts festival in Yogyakarta that blends creativity, culture, and environmental conservation. Uniquely set along the banks of the Bedog River, the area is transformed into a magical stage illuminated by thousands of traditional oil lamps. Carrying the theme “Sambung-Menyambung”, BAF features modern and traditional performances, collaborations with artists from 19+ countries and 28+ regions in Indonesia, and community empowerment programs such as Pasar Warga. As an art-ecology movement, the festival highlights sustainability, education, and collective spirit, making it one of Yogyakarta’s most influential cultural events.
