The current mosque was actually built in 1352 Hijri/1934 AD. However, according to history, this mosque was relocated from an earlier mosque on the banks of the Martapura River and built on Saturday, Shawwal 17, 1195 AD, or roughly 1777–1780 AD, during the reign of Prince Tamjidillah.
