Event Solo Menari

Solo Menari 2026 is a one-day dance festival celebrating World Dance Day in the city of Solo. This year’s theme, “Aku Kipas (Aha Pankha)”, draws inspiration from the long history of hand fans and folding fans, which have been used for thousands of years and play an important role in dance traditions worldwide, including in Indonesia. Through this theme, dancers are encouraged to explore creativity and use the fan as a symbol of sharing goodness with others. The festival serves as a public space for innovative dance performances rooted in Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.
