The Jami Safinatussalam Mosque is the oldest mosque in Buleleng. The physical building of the mosque has Javanese architecture and was founded by Kumpi Kiai Yahya in 1623 together with Bugis and Javanese people. The mosque is proof that Muslims have been present in Buleleng Bali since the time of the Buleleng kingdom led by King Panji Sakti.
