Suluban Beach: The Surfer’s Paradise

 

Dreaming of less-tourist holiday in Bali?

Bali has been everyone’s favorite destination because Bali never fails to amaze the visitors with its landscape especially the beaches with its stunning sunset, leisure activities and the culture.

When it comes to traveling to Bali , it means playing on beach. For those who want to enjoy an exclusive beach experience, Suluban is one great find. Suluban Beach is one of Bali’s most unique coasts, concealed by natural limestone formations and accessed via steps and log ramps through narrow gaps in the rock.

Suluban is generally known as Blue Point. Many people associated this beach with Blue Point Beach, refered to Blue Point Bay Villas at the top of beach. Suluban Beach extends right up to Uluwatu Beach where the mystical cave lies under. The saying Suluban taken from the Balinese vocabulary “mesulub”, means to bow down. Before you enter the beach you need to crawl even bend down through a very narrow cave and get your feet wet. Suluban is just another favorite beach for surfers and photographs since people mostly familiar with Padang Padang and Dreamland Beaches.

 

Activities

Suluban also one of the world class surfing beach. If you are a surfer then you will be offered by massive waves from 3 to 12 feet. This is a truly paradise for crazy surfers to spend their all day time to play and enjoy the beach wave with their surf board. The best day to surf here will be on dry season from April to August.

There is no doubt that Suluban Beach is the perfect place for the most scenic at sunset but early morning is better to visit to avoid the crowd and claim your favorite spot. If you’re lucky you’re the only one there!

Make sure you also explore some of the hidden places under the Suluban cave. The Pirates of the Caribbean look alike might be the real treasure here.

 

Get There

Suluban Beach is situated in Peninsula Hill, about 34 km from Denpasar. You can also reach the beach from Kuta drive for about 45. It is quite difficult by public transport unless you take taxi and ask for the taxi driver to wait if you visit the beach within a short period of time. You need also to pay the entrance fee to enter the beach area IDR 20,000. This place also offers some resting place like café or restaurant serving international, Indonesia and typical Balinese food.
