Festival Kali Maro Pantai Arafura
The Kali Maro Festival, held annually from October 1–5 in Merauke, Papua, celebrates the history, culture, and traditions of the Marind tribe. Highlights include the procession of the Blessed Virgin Mary statue, the Holy Sacrament parade, Dahun Anggai (harvest festival), and the Jesus Child parade, showcasing Merauke’s history and the encounter between Christian faith and local culture since 1905.
