Komplek Makam Sultan Suriansyah

Sultan Suriansyah was a descendant of the kings of the Daha Kingdom. He was the first Banjar king to embrace Islam, and since then, Islam has spread officially and rapidly in South Kalimantan. To practice and spread Islam, he built a mosque known as the Sultan Suriansyah Mosque, which is the oldest mosque in South Kalimantan. According to Dutch scholar J.C. Noorlander, based on the tombstones found, the age of the tombs is estimated to be around 1550. This means that Sultan Suriansyah died in 1550, which is considered the end of his reign. He was given the title Susuhunan Batu Habang.
