Kenduri Seni Melayu

Kenduri Seni Melayu (KSM) is Batam’s signature cultural festival showcasing traditional Malay arts, including zapin dance, ghazal music, pantun poetry, silat martial arts, culinary heritage, and folk games. First held in 1999, this festival unites Malay communities from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and Southern Thailand. Blending heritage and modern creativity, KSM offers large-scale performances, workshops, UMKM bazaars, and interactive cultural activities. As a major cultural tourism attraction, Kenduri Seni Melayu provides an authentic cultural experience and draws both domestic and international visitors to Batam.
