Masjid Tanwirun Naja, widely known as Masjid Tanjak, is a contemporary and striking religious landmark situated in Batam City, Riau Islands, Indonesia, right in front of the Hang Nadim International Airport. Inaugurated in 2022, the mosque is celebrated for its unique architecture, which intentionally deviates from the common dome structure. Instead, its distinctive roof design is inspired by the Tanjak, a traditional Malay head covering for men, symbolizing dignity, cultural identity, and local wisdom. Serving as both a vibrant center for community worship and a major destination for religious tourism, its name, Tanwirun Naja, appropriately translates to 'illuminator of safety or salvation'.
