This mosque was built based on the good intentions of General Amirmachmud. During his visit to Barabai, he intended to build a mosque by purchasing a plot of land for one million rupiah, which he then offered to the Mosque Construction Committee. General Amirmachmud's intention to build this mosque received a positive response from many parties, resulting in support from local and external parties, as well as from the central government, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the district government, which allocated special funds for the completion of the construction.
