Festival Pesona Mentawai

The 2025 Mentawai Charm Festival (FPM), marking its 6th edition, is an annual event organized by the local government to promote Mentawai’s tourism potential globally. Held at the MapaddegatTuapeijat Tourism Village, the festival focuses on developing homestays and supporting local creative economies, especially among the younger generation.

The theme, “Arat Samba Laggaiku Kinddijet Kasangaliot Polak” (My Culture and Nature, World-renowned), celebrates the unique blend of Mentawai’s natural beauty and culture. This symbiotic relationship, rooted in the wisdom of the Mentawai ancestors, emphasizes the importance of preserving, nurturing, and sharing this heritage through art, culture, and community events. The festival aims to honor the Mentawai people and their culture, ensuring it continues to thrive for future generations.
