Qatar Airways to Operate Dreamliner on Third Daily Flights Direct to Bali

 

Confirming the ever growing popularity of the enchanting island of Bali, including among tourists from the Middle East, Qatar Airways, the national flag carrier of Qatar will operate its third daily non-stop flights from Doha’s Hamad International Airport to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali,commencing 7th May 2017.

Since last year, Qatar Airways already operates 3 direct flights daily from Doha to Jakarta, as well as 2 flights daily direct from Doha to Denpasar, Bali, which will now increase to 3 times daily.

Qatar Airways first started its direct Bali services in 2014, subsequently encreasing this to a twice daily frequency. Initially, the airline served the route with transit in Singapore, however, through its expanding global reach and significant growth in the size of its fleet, this has increased the popularity of Qatar Airways to enable the airline now to offer three daily direct non-stop flights to Bali. In its press release, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Akbar Al Baker explained: "The start of the triple daily non-stop services from Doha to Bali Denpasar offers passengers from our global network even greater access to this popular leisure destination with smooth international transfers and a variety of times to suit their own schedules."

The new flights will be operated using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, adding to the existing direct flights that are currently using Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 wide-body aircrafts.“We are delighted to confirm that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will operate the third frequency on this route, offering the very latest in design and comfort to passengers, complemented by our other wide body aircraft, the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A330,"added Akbar Al Baker.

Flying direct to and from Bali Denpasar, the Dreamliner has a two-cabin configuration, comprising of 22 seats in Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats with a high standard of comfort on board, including individual 10.5 inch television screens on all Economy Class seats and a full complimentary food and beverage service.

With connecting times to Bali reduced with one quick international transfer at Doha’s Hamad International Airport (HIA), the flight is also projected to attract more passengers on the airline’s extensive route networks in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

The additional flight services by Qatar Airways is warmly welcomed by Indonesia’s Tourism Minister, Arief Yahya, since this will certainly facilitate more tourists from the Middle East and beyond to visit Wonderful Indonesia.
