Perahu Baganduang

Perahu Baganduang is a cultural tradition of the people of Kuantan Singingi Regency, reflecting values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and local wisdom of communities living along the Kuantan River. The tradition features a series of boats tied together (“baganduang”), decorated in distinctive styles, and paraded along the river as a symbol of unity and solidarity.

The event is held on March 26, 2026, in Kuantan Singingi Regency as part of the post-Eid (Syawal) traditions of 1447 H. The Perahu Baganduang Festival serves as a moment of community gathering, enlivened by cultural performances, traditional music, and active participation from local residents.

Beyond its cultural and historical significance, the festival also serves as a tourism attraction, offering an authentic experience of Kuantan Singingi’s riverine heritage while strengthening the cultural identity of the local community.
