The An-Nur Great Mosque is the largest, most magnificent mosque and the premier religious tourism icon of Riau Province, situated in the heart of Pekanbaru City, often nicknamed the "Indonesian Taj Mahal" due to its stunning, grand design complemented by a large reflecting pool. Established in 1968, its architecture is a harmonious blend of Malay, Arabic, Turkish, and Indian styles, notably featuring four corner minarets and five domes.
