Wayang Jogja Night Carnival (WJNC) is the must-see annual celebration that has captivated audiences since its debut in 2016. With its unique street carnival concept, WJNC showcases a mesmerizing blend of choreography, costumes, contemporary music, and lighting, bringing to life timeless wayang stories. The event proudly features participants from 14 districts across Yogyakarta, and continues to evolve, embracing street art while highlighting iconic elements like Tugu Jogja, decorative vehicles, and wayang performances—all set against the magical backdrop of the night.

In 2025, the carnival promises even more excitement! Alongside the vibrant performances from each Kemantren, Gelaran Nuswantoro will bring cultural showcases from beyond the region, enriching the festival’s diversity. The WJNC Fest kicks off the festivities, offering a series of engaging activities such as Talkshows, sport tourism events like Sasi Ki”Run”Na (run) and Ngambah Jumantoro (cycling), art exhibitions, and the lively Kampung Wayang (Creative Economy Bazaar).
