Festival Rujak Uleg is an iconic culinary festival in Surabaya, held since 2004 and showcasing the traditional Rujak Cingur, recognized as Indonesia’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The event once earned a MURI record for the largest mass rujak-making activity. Each year, the festival highlights unique themes, culinary competitions, creative costumes, and lively performances. In 2026, Festival Rujak Uleg will carry the theme Rujak Pestaphoria to celebrate the World Cup, bringing festive football vibes with colorful cultural expressions while promoting Surabaya’s culinary identity and strengthening the local creative economy.
