Pinisi Festival

The Pinisi Festival is an annual celebration hosted by the Bulukumba Regency Government in South Sulawesi to honor the rich tradition of Pinisi boat making. This exciting event showcases unique cultural rituals such as songka bala ribantilang, ammosi-anjorong lopi (the ceremonial boat launch), as well as the palenteng ere and andingingi rituals, which are traditional ceremonies to cool the earth, specific to Bulukumba.

Blending cultural education with thrilling entertainment, the festival attracts both local and international visitors, eager to witness the vibrant atmosphere. The festival also provides a fantastic opportunity for the local community to showcase their creativity through traditional foods and unique handmade crafts that are hard to find elsewhere in Indonesia.
