Festival Wong Gunung

Festival Wong Gunung is a cultural event in Pulosari Subdistrict that combines the unique ritual of praying for water, symbolizing gratitude for God's blessings. The festival celebrates the abundance of water from seven springs of Mount Slamet, with a “Banyu Panguripan” ritual. It features a "sedekah bumi" (earth charity) in which harvested crops are paraded and distributed to the community. This event aims to preserve the arts, culture, and culinary traditions of Pulosari while promoting tourism and local businesses (UMKM). Involving the local government and the Nata Praja Community, the festival serves as a platform to showcase Pulosari’s culture and strengthen its appeal as a tourist destination. Through this event, the community expresses their gratitude and fosters unity, making it an annual celebration of culture, nature, and tradition.
