The museum highlights the long history of jenang, a traditional sweet delicacy of Kudus, while also promoting the Gusjigang philosophy, a set of moral values deeply rooted in local society.

As part of the Mubarok Sentra Bisnis and Budaya (MSBB) complex, the museum offers an engaging learning experience that connects history, culture, religion, and entrepreneurship. Historical Background of Museum Jenang and Gusjigang

The story of Museum Jenang and Gusjigang is closely linked to the legacy of Mubarokfood and the cultural history of Kudus. Jenang has long been associated with Sunan Kudus and the spread of Islam in the region. From a small home industry, Mubarokfood grew into a major jenang producer, adapting its production methods and packaging over time.

On May 24, 2017, the museum was officially inaugurated by H. Muhammad Hilmy, SE, as part of the MSBB building. The museum presents the evolution of jenang production, traditional tools, packaging designs, and dioramas depicting the making and preservation of jenang.

Museum Jenang and Gusjigang is classified as a general museum and is officially registered under the National Museum Registration Number (NPNM) 33.19.K.06.0343. The museum focuses on the history of Jenang Kudus Mubarok and the Gusjigang philosophy, which stands for good character, religious knowledge, and trading skills.

Type, Ownership, and Management

The museum belongs to the CV. Mubarokfood Cipta Delicia, a historic jenang producer established in 1910. It is managed by Hesti Tri Hartanto and Rodliyah Puspa Rini, who oversee the museum’s educational programs and exhibitions.

Museum Collection

At present, the museum does not yet have an officially recorded collection list. Nevertheless, it continuously develops educational displays, dioramas, replicas, and visual narratives that support its role as a cultural and educational institution.
