The beach is located on the east side of Bintan Island in the Riau Archipelago province, specifically in Malang Rapat village, Gunung Kijang sub-District, or about 45 kilometers to the east of the center of Tanjung Pinang town.
Trikora beach itself is a photogenic beach with exotic boulders with rows of "kelongs" or fish traps that you might find interesting to look at.
Another scenic white sand beach that has become the most-visited place for international tourists in Indonesia is Gili Trawangan beach in Lombok island. Mandalika itself is a region in the south part of the island where you can enjoy the beauty of green savannah hills and marvelous beaches at the same time. With its crystal clear waters and white sand, Mandalika offers an instagramable scenery for the visitors. It is also a good place to escape from hustle as you can relax there by laying down on the beach while adhering to the sounds of the calm waves.
If you plan to visit Mandalika beach, you can take a direct flight to Lombok International Airport. From Bali, you can also take a ferry from Padang Bai Harbor to Lembar Harbor in Lombok. From there you can take a bus or a taxi to Mandalika that will take about 2-3 hours.
