TRIP OF WONDERS 2016 : Discover Indonesia’s Hidden Paradise

 

Recently, the Indonesian government initiated to fast forward the country’s Tourism sector by announcing ten new potential tourism sites, that are envisaged to equal Bali’s hypnotizing appeal. Today the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia has created yet another exciting way to promote Wonderful Indonesia, namely: the Trip of Wonders 2016, inviting travelers around the world to experience firsthand a journey to many destinations with each possessing their unique diverse cultures as flourish in the Indonesian archipelago. Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world comprising 13,466 large and small tropical islands fringed with white sandy beaches, many still uninhabited, and a number yet unnamed.

Straddling the equator, between the continents of Asia and Australia, an emerald chain between the Pacific and the Indian Oceans, Indonesia is as wide as  the distance between San Francisco to New York, equalling the length between London and Moscow. Indonesia has a total population of more than 215 million people originating from more than 200 ethnic groups. The national language is Bahasa Indonesia. The country is blessed with the most diverse destinations, warm and welcoming  people, rich cultures and scenic natural landscapes, from fertile rice lands on Java and Bali to luxuriant rainforests on Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi,  savannah grasslands of the Nusa Tenggara islands ending in the snow-capped peaks of West Papua, for all to enjoy. 

“Through the Trip of Wonders 2016, we wish to introduce the five wonders that comprise the country, which are our natural wonders, cultural wonders, sensory wonders, modern wonders and adventure wonders. The experience varies from divine tropical beaches, heartwarming local traditions, inspiring art performances, exquisite cuisine and handicrafts, to majestic mountainous landscape”, said Mrs. Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani as the Director of Administration Affairs from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia.

“The Trip of Wonders is expected to give a better knowledge and lasting impression of Wonderful Indonesia, as a harmonious multicultural country with numerous ethnic groups, religions, customs, traditions, as well as an abundance of natural attractions”, Mrs. Giri continued in her opening speech when receiving the first batch at  the Welcome Dinner Trip of Wonders 2016 at the Airport Swiss-belhotel, Jakarta.

In the second Trip of Wonders 2016 the Tourism Ministry has invited influencers from Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hongkong, Japan, Korea and India totaling 30 international personalities, joined by 10 domestic influencers from Indonesia. The group will visit Indonesia’s top tourist destinations that include Yogyakarta, Raja Ampat and Bali. For eleven days, the Trip of Wonders 2016 participants will be spoiled with views and exciting corners of Indonesia. The journey will not only provide unforgettable memories of harmony in diversity, but their experience here will also broaden the awareness of Indonesia to potential foreign tourists around the world who are looking for outstanding new destinations to visit. Undoubtedly through active and appealing social media exposure to be wrapped around this trip, as well as the strong positive articles and images sent by participants on their journey, Wonderful Indonesia will be placed on the map as one of the  world’s top must-visit destinations around the globe.
