Ngikis Gunung Padang is a cultural tradition held by the community of Sukaresik Village, Ciamis Regency, as a form of self-purification in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. The tradition reflects respect for ancestors while strengthening spiritual values and community bonds.
The event takes place on February 12, 2026, at the Gunung Padang site in Sindangkasih District. The activities include communal cleaning of the site, pilgrimage and prayers, and the traditional ritual of replacing bamboo fences, which carries symbolic meaning.
