Festival Minangkabau

The Minangkabau Festival celebrates the richness of Minang heritage through traditional dances, gandang and saluang music, local cuisine, and iconic traditional attire. Held at the historic Istano Basa Pagaruyung, it offers an authentic experience of Minangkabau customs guided by the philosophy “Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah.” Highlights include randai performances, silek martial arts, and the Songket Fashion Show, supported by traditional competitions and the “One Nagari One Event” concept. Visitors can also explore culinary markets and MSME exhibitions that showcase local crafts and strengthen the creative economy.
