Tumbilotohe

Tumbilotohe is a unique tradition of the Gorontalo people known as the "night of lighting lamps," observed during the last three nights of Ramadhan leading up to Eid al-Fitr. It is marked by the lighting of millions of oil lamps (kole-kole) and decorative lights in yards and along streets, creating a glowing cityscape that serves as a symbol of gratitude and spiritual celebration. This tradition represents a fusion of religious and cultural values that has existed since the 15th century.
