Festival Tumbe

Tumbe Festival in Banggai, Central Sulawesi, showcases the Malabot Tumbe Tradition, the ceremonial delivery of the first Maleo bird eggs by the Batui indigenous family to Banggai Laut Palace, spanning three regencies. This three-day procession features traditional sailing, rituals to ward off evil spirits, and the replacement of the egg’s leaf wrapping. The festival combines culture, tradition, and tourism, with side events including art performances, MSME bazaars, cultural competitions, and other attractions.
