Sheikh Zainal Abidin or Datu Kandang Haji (real name Surya Sakti Mangku Alam) was a cleric from Paringin, Balangan, specifically in Mungkur Uyam Village (then called Baluning Village). He played a role in the Islamization of the Balangan hinterland in the 17th century AD. He was a student of Khatib Dayyan who later converted to Islam. He also studied in Mecca for approximately 50 years. He is also the founder of several mosques in Balangan, such as the Al-Mukarramah Mosque in Bangkal Village (Sirap Village, Juai), the Jannatul Ma'wa Mosque in Buntu Karau Village, Juai, and the Sirajul Huda Mosque in Paran Babayau Village, Paringin.
