The tomb of Aulia Male Ta Ilayabe, an important figure known for spreading Islam in the Gorontalo region, is situated on a hill peak approximately 500 meters above sea level, directly across from the Gorontalo port. This figure, often referred to simply as Ta Ilayabe, was revered as a great Imam (religious leader), and his gravesite has become a significant and popular destination for religious tourism (wisata religi).
