Festival Kaghati Kolope
The Kaghati Kolope Festival in Muna Regency is an event celebration of the world’s oldest traditional kites, made from kolope leaves, bamboo frames, and forest pineapple fiber strings. This ancient tradition, evidenced by Kaghati paintings in Sugi Patani Cave, has thrived for thousands of years. Held since 2014, the festival combines culture, art, and spectacular aerial displays, supporting the “MAI TE WUNA” tourism program. As one of the 110 Kharisma Events Nusantara, Kaghati Kolope attracts local and international visitors, showcasing Muna’s unique and interactive cultural heritage in Southeast Sulawesi.
