Festival Tumbe

Festival Tumbe 2023 is a series of events for the Malabot Tumbe Ritual Ceremony, which is a traditional process of welcoming the Maleo bird's eggs. This ceremony involves three districts (Banggai Laut, Banggai, and Banggai Kepulauan) and aims to strengthen the sense of brotherhood. Malabot Tumbe signifies something that is the first or the beginning, specifically the process of delivering and receiving Maleo bird eggs from the Batui indigenous people to the Tomundo (king) of Banggai in Banggai Laut. In addition, there are various supporting activities (festivals) such as regional competitions related to the event theme. The event is held using a Hybrid Event concept, combining two methods: an offline or live event, which is held in person, and an online event, which broadcasts the event via live streaming on social media platforms.
