Festival Sahur - Sahur kabupaten Mempawah

Festival Sahur-Sahur is a unique cultural event in Mempawah Regency featuring bamboo percussion and simple instruments inspired by a traditional Ramadan practice of waking residents for sahur. First held in 2003 to revive the fading tradition, the festival has now grown into a competitive performance with elimination rounds and a grand final. After more than 20 years, Festival Sahur-Sahur has become a cultural tourism highlight during Ramadan, showcasing creativity, community spirit, and the living heritage of Mempawah.
