For the summit of G20 2022, the Indonesian government has prepared a strict health protocol throughout the conference. Under the latest travel regulations, this protocol was established to ensure the utmost comfort and safety to the delegations. Several procedures that the delegates need to follow include the preparation of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

The delegations are required to register their vaccination status through the PeduliLindungi app. To make the process easier, the government has set the app to be available in 13 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Furthermore, various health facilities, including clinics, mini ICUs, mobile medical units, and referral hospitals, have been prepared for delegates who may experience symptoms of illness.

Boasting a modern touch of traditional Balinese design known as wantilan, the terminal was built to showcase the spirit of local wisdoms. Other facilities including the International and Domestic Passenger Terminal, as well as Cargo Area, were also revitalized to provide the delegates with the best arrival experience. Apart from these, the government also prepared extra space in several airports across the archipelago for the planes of the delegates.

Sustainability is one of the important points that will be addressed at the upcoming G20 summit. For it, the Indonesian government has prepared more than 1,000 units of electric vehicles (EV) as a commitment towards energy transition. This effort was also made to showcase how the nation managed the transition, as well as set an example of carbon emission reduction. As many as 962 electric cars, 454 electric motorcycles, and 36 electric buses are ready to be utilized as the conference's transportation mode. This initiative was also supported by Japan as 143 units of the electric cars were produced by Toyota and Lexus. Hopefully, this combined effort can encourage the rest of the world to reach carbon neutrality together.

4. Accommodation: Hotels

As the host of G20 2022, Indonesia is committed to providing an enjoyable staying experience to the guests. For that, Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has prepared 23 hotels in Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Kuta, to accommodate the delegates. The Ministry is regulating the hotels in these three regions to reach 80 to 100 percent occupancy. The Minister himself, Sandiaga Uno, also hoped that travelers across the world would be interested in spending a holiday in Bali after the summit ended.
