1. Tegallalang, Gianyar

Located in the valleys around the northern part of Ubud, the Tegallalang rice fields offer a scenic view of the alluring rice terraces enough to ease your mind away. The beautiful rice fields have gained popularity among worldwide travelers since it has been listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The place can be a perfect choice for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful vibes of the green rice terraces. This spot is relatively easy to reach. All you need to do is drive for about 7 km to the northeast of Ubud Art Market with a taxi or any other rented transportation.
 

2. Sesandan, Tabanan

About 13 km to the west of Ubud, there is another lesser known place that offers similar views, namely Sesandan rice fileds in Tabanan regency. These rice terraces are located in quite close to the fantastic Bali Butterfly Park. While the rice terraces of Sesandan village aren't quite as leveled as the rice terraces of Tegallalang, the scenery around the place is similarly astonishing. It is recommended for you to visit the place either in the morning or evening, in order to get the best view out of Sesandan rice terraces sceneries. Since the sights of the sunrise and the sunset here are so impeccable you have to capture them.
 

3. Jatiluwih, Tabanan

Still located in Tabanan regency, there is another place filled with vast rice terraces which cover about 53.000 hectares of land. These magnificent rice terraces can be found in Jatiluwih village, about 12 km to the north of Sesandan village. Like Tegallalang rice terraces, Jatiluwih rice terraces are also included among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Other than providing fresh air and a calming atmosphere, the expansive rice terraces also provide an open view of the Bali skyline, suitable for those who love to watch the sunrise or sunset. If you still want to do some more exploring, head over to the northeast of the rice terraces and discover a hidden small waterfall called Yeh Hoo Waterfall.
 

4. Munduk, Buleleng

Moving to Buleleng regency, these rice terraces are located in the western part of Munduk village. Situated only around 2 km from the stunning Munduk waterfall, the sweeping rice terraces of Munduk village are dreamlike in appearance, making them enticing to the eyes. Explore the broad rice terraces by trekking around the place, inhale the pleasant scent of rice in the air, enjoy the serene feel around the place, then look around for a nice view to capture while at the same time, witness how farmers harvest their rice paddies. 5. Sidemen, Karangasem

Lastly, another lovely rice terrace can be found about 19,5 km to the east of Ubud in Karangasem regency. These rice terraces are located in the village of Sidemen. As one of the hidden gems in Bali, the boundless rice terraces are not frequently visited as much as other rice terraces. Feel the tranquility of Sidemen village rice terraces by strolling around the area or spending a night at the wonderful Wapa di Ume Sidemen resort and enjoy the breathtaking view around you as you chill inside the resort's infinity pool.
