Basoeki Abdullah Museum

Basoeki Abdullah Museum is a real proof of the nationalism of an inspirational figure and maestro of Indonesian painting, Basoeki Abdullah. Located in South Jakarta, the Basoeki Abdullah Museum houses 109 collections of paintings, 3,070 book collections, and more than 700 collections of art objects (shadow puppets, masks, sculptures, textiles, etc.). Basoeki Abdullah was known to be a prominent painter in Indonesia, for his mastery in realism, with influence in the national art scene. His talent and love for art were evident from a very young age, seen through his Mahatma Gandhi painting that he made at the age of 10.
