The 39th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress

The 39th Congress of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO), organized by the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) together with the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (PERDAMI), aims to promote blindness prevention activities and improve the quality of vision. The congress agenda includes a Congress, Meetings, International Scientific Lectures, Wet Lab Sessions, Symposiums, Exhibitions, Award Ceremonies, Cultural Parties, Presidential Dinners, Gala Dinners, Women in Ophthalmology Lunch, Young Ophthalmologists Night, and a Charity Run.

This congress provides an opportunity for delegates, especially Indonesian ophthalmologists, to build networks and collaborations in efforts to address eye health challenges in the country. The program is also in line with the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia in developing health tourism to create quality tourism and support the implementation of international MICE events.

The APAO 2024 Congress is attended by approximately 10,210 delegates from 90 countries, including eye examination technology companies, pharmaceutical companies in the eye health sector, ophthalmologists, residents, and leaders of global eye health organizations.
