The 28TH SouthEast Asia-Pacific Audio Visual Archives Association (SEAPAVAA) Conferences
The 28th Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archives Association (SEAPAVAA) Conference aims to strengthen the development of audiovisual archives through network enhancement and capacity building among SEAPAVAA members and relevant stakeholders in the audiovisual archive industry. This conference is held in a hybrid format, with participants including audiovisual archiving professionals, filmmakers, government representatives, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Attended by approximately 1,600 participants, the series of activities for the SEAPAVAA Conference includes the SEAPAVAA Executive Council Meeting, workshops, the opening ceremony, symposium, Welcome Dinner & Archival Gems Screening, SEAPAVAA General Assembly, institutional and cultural visits to the Lokananta Music Studio and Prambanan Temple to witness the Ramayana Ballet, as well as the Farewell Dinner.
The Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archives Association is a professional organization that supports institutions and individuals involved in or interested in the development of audiovisual archiving in the Asia-Pacific region. The SEAPAVAA Conference 2024 marks the third time Indonesia has hosted the event, after previous conferences held in 1997 and 2009.
