Subayang Festival

The Festival Subayang is a collaboration between the local government, communities, and environmental enthusiasts, held annually in the protected forest of Suaka Marga Satwa Rimbang Baling. The event aims to maintain a harmonious relationship between humans and animals, known as "Semah Rantau." This ritual involves feeding tigers and releasing a buffalo head along the Subayang river.
The Festival Subayang also includes various activities that involve local potential, such as local SMEs, artists, and the natural beauty of the Tanjung Belit tourist village. In 2025, the event will offer field trip tour packages to explore Suaka Marga Satwa Rimbang Baling, which includes 17 tourist villages, waterfalls, and other attractions. Visitors will travel to these locations by boat (piyau), providing a unique and immersive experience into the area's rich culture and stunning landscapes.
