Festival Salo Karajae

Salo Karajae Festival in Parepare City is the largest coastal cultural festival in South Sulawesi, celebrating World Tourism Day. The event features cultural competitions, MSME empowerment, and creative economy activities to boost local economic growth. Held along the Karajae River, visitors can experience traditional fishing, local markets, and scenic river and beach views. This year, the festival expands to both riverbanks and the beach in a strategic new location, offering authentic cultural experiences, wider natural panoramas, and promoting Parepare’s tourism attractions to domestic and international visitors.
