Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival

The Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival (BEC) 2025 is a stunning contemporary cultural carnival with the theme "Ngelukat – Tradition Ritual of Usingnese". Celebrating the rich traditions of the Using tribe of Banyuwangi, this carnival honors every stage of human life through meaningful rituals, from birth to the afterlife. Part of the Banyuwangi Festival, BEC will parade through the iconic streets of Banyuwangi, from Alun-Alun Taman Blambangan to the front of the Banyuwangi Regent's office, covering a 2.5-kilometer route.

What sets BEC 2025 apart from previous years is its blend of contemporary carnival performances with traditional elements, along with a collaboration of modern and traditional art forms. With captivating music performances and cultural displays, the festival showcases the creativity of the younger generation while preserving the local traditional arts.
