Ready for a different kind of run? Well, brace yourself! Grip The Road, a special sporting event that combines running and Yoga will be held on 11th December 2016 at the Royal Tulip Saranam Resort & Spa Bali. This is the perfect opportunity to test your physical endurance in the 12K and 5 K run at the highland of Baturirti and cooling it off with a Yoga session afterwards.
Grip The Road (GTR) is a series of running events that are held several times in a year in different cities in Indonesia. Carrying the tagline of “Not Just a Run!” GTR uniquely combines 2 seemingly different sports of Running and Yoga. The Organizers believe that a Yoga exercise after running is not only healthy for the physical body, but also mentally and spiritually.
For the GTR Bali, there will be 2 Yoga sessions which are specifically designed to bring calmness after all that running. The Yoga Session will be led by Yoga Master Deepak Barthwal who owns the unique combination of Yoga and meditation, as well as spiritual teaching and knowledge of Ayurvedic therapy.
Since its inaugural edition, GTR has always brought a different concept of running event. In its first event in 2014, GTR took running enthusiasts to explore Kemayoran, one of the historical areas of the capital city of Jakarta. In the following years, GTR tried new innovations combining running with Yoga which remains very popular to this day.For more information log on to: http://www.griptheroad.com/
