More about Tangsi Pink Beach, Gili Meno and Tanjung Tinggi Beach
Crowned as the most beautiful among the 7 most beautiful beaches in the world, the Tangsi Beach in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province, is more popularly known among tourists as Pink Beach. Being quite secluded, its crystal clear, calm, and shallow waters topped with outstanding green natural surroundings make this a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Here, you can swim and snorkel freely without having to worry about sudden oncoming huge waves since the beach lies protected within a bay.
Tangsi Beach is one of only 7 pink beaches in the world, and one of 2 such beaches in Indonesia, the other being the Pink Beach on Komodo Island. The pink colour of the sand at Tangsi Beach is formed by the white sand grains mixing with shards of pink corals that have been swept onto the beach. The reflection of the sun on the sand and on the turquoise sea add to the intensity of the shade of pink over the beach.
Meanwhile, Gili Meno, ranked in 3rd place, is the smallest island among the highly popular Gili islands cluster, comprising of Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno, located just offshore from Senggigi beach on North West Lombok.

While Gili Trawangan is a popular tourist resort, Gili Meno offers tranquility next to superb diving opportunities. Here are stretches of white beaches, and shady palm trees interspersed with grassland, where cattle can be seen leisurely grazing.
"Aside from its crystal clear water and enchanting white sand, the peace and serenity on the island make this a unique place, since no motorized vehicles are allowed here. This is why Gilli Meno is definitely the perfect place to be refreshed, to reinvigorate your mind and body from the stresses and noise of city life," said Vinsensius Jemadu.
Around the island are three dive spots full with fascinating coral reefs and unique creatures that are the favorite with scuba divers. The dive spots are the Meno Wall, Sea Point Turtle, and Point Coral Blue. There are also underwater statues created by international artist Jason de Caires Taylor that fascinate all divers.
Taking the 6th place in the list, the Tanjung Tinggi Beach on Belitung Island is an exotic beach known as the site of the Laskar Pelangi or Rainbow Troop movie series, thus it is otherwise known as the Rainbow Troop Beach.
